U.S. continues to supporting UN Secretary General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara (Ambassador)

Rabat, July 16, 2012 (SPS) - The United States Ambassador to Rabat, Mr. Samuel Kaplan, confirmed that his country “continues to supporting” the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary General for Western Sahara Mr. Christopher Ross until the end of his mission, in order to find a solution to the conflict of Western Sahara.


“The U.S. will continue to support Mr. Christopher Ross until the end of his mission, in order to find a solution to conflict of Western Sahara,” Mr. Kaplan told Morocco’s El-Massa daily newspaper, adding that his country “supports the UN course and Christopher Ross is a part of it.”


After the U.S. Ambassador recalled that Mr. Ross has been appointed by the UN Secretary General, he underlined that the UN efforts will not be productive, without the assistance of the UN Envoy.” (SPS)
