Conclusion of solidarity week between Saharawi and Algerian provinces

Algiers, July 11, 2012(SPS)  a cultural week  of solidarity between Wilaya (province) of El Aayoune and   central Algiers municipality  on Tuesday concluded in Algiers  by renewal of twining agreement between the two cities for one year.
 

The participants considered this event which coincides with the 50th anniversary of Algerian independence and the 10th anniversary of the signature of the twining agreement as a “new sheet” of Algerian solidarity with the just Saharawi cause and has a “positive effect” in extending solidarity movement with the Saharawi people.                

Governor of wilaya of El Aayoune Hama Bunia, indicated that the renewal of the twining agreement is a “devote to the solidarity by Algeria toward the Saharawi people and came to reflect the future prospects of Algerian solidarity with the Saharawi cause.”    

For his part the head of the People’s Municipal Assembly of    central Algiers Taib Zaituni, said that the twining Agreement “carries clear solidarity message and principle support to the Saharawi issue.”

 It should be recalled that the cultural solidarity week witnessed presentation of political and cultural lectures,   organization of musical concerts and Saharawi exhibition in addition to other activities which reflected Saharawi culture and its struggle for freedom and independence.(SPS)
