Shaheed Al Hafed (refugee camps), June 29, 2012 (SPS) - The seventh congress of the Saharawi Workers Union (UGTSARIO) will be held from 21 to 23 October 2012 in February 27th School under the motto: “resistance, steadfastness and development”, bearing the name of the Saharawi martyr Said Sid Ahmed Dambar, according to a statement concluded the first meeting of its preparatory committee on Thursday.
The meeting, which was chaired by the Secretary General of the Saharawi Workers Union Mr. Mohamed Sheikh Mohamed Lehbib, examined the ground work document that includes functions of the sub-committees; political, organization and security, legal, occupied territories and communities abroad, information and propaganda, professional associations, proving the membership and executive committee.
The committee recalled to the miserable condition experienced by the Saharawi political prisoners in the prisons of Morocco, expressing on behalf of the Saharawi workers solidarity with them.
It finally appealed to all Saharawi workers, wherever they are, to “the recruitment and vigilance to reflect the Congress theme and to contribute, each from his place, to succeed this important national merit.” (SPS)
