Solidarity days with Saharawi people in Alicante

Alecante, June 07, 2012 (SPS) - A Solidarity days with the Saharawi people have started on Wednesday in the Spanish city of Alicante to raise awareness about the situation of Saharawi refuges and deterioration of human rights in occupied territories.

 

Speaking at the opening of the event, head of Pinoso municipality, Lázaro Azorín  welcomed the event which "aims at raising awareness about the cruel conditions living by the Saharawi refuges since 37 years", expressing hope that such initiatives contribute to attract sympathizers to the Saharawi cause.

 

on other hand, The president of Dignity House association asserted the historic and moral responsibility of Spain towards the Saharawi people.

 

For his part, the Polisario Representative to Alicante, Adan Dadi has, argued the Spanish civil society to vote in parliament and other institutions to put an end to the tragedy of the Saharawi people.

 

He highlighted the systematic repression committed by Moroccan occupation authorities against the Saharawi population in occupied territories.
