Polisario Front attends Regional UN decolonization seminar in Quito

Quito, June 05, 2012 (SPS) - A Saharawi delegation led by Minister for Americas took part at the regional Pacific seminar on decolonization organized by Special Committee on Decolonization from May 30 to 1 in Quito, Ecuador.

 

Speaking at the seminar, Member of National Secretariat of the Polisario Front- Minister for Latin America, Mohamed Yeslem Beissat has condemned the Moroccan occupation policy based on violating human rights, conspiracy and blocking the UN efforts.

 

He called on the committee to assume the responsibility to condemn this policy.

 

The meeting was an opportunity for the Saharawi Minster to held meetings with members of the committee of 24 and representatives of Non self-governing countries.

 

During the seminar, several countries including, Algeria, south Africa, Ecuador, Nicaragua and Cuba have reiterated full solidarity and support to struggle of Saharawi people for freedom and independence.

 

They called for decolonization in Western Sahara in accordance with UN charter and resolutions. (SPS)
