Copenhagen (Denmark), May 1st, 2012 (SPS) - On the celebrations commemorating the May 1st, in Copenhagen the cause of Western Sahara, the last colony in Africa was present, according to statement Tuesday by the Polisario Front Representation in Denmark.
The Western Sahara’s cause was present in the stand of the solidarity Organisation Afrika Kontakt, through brochures describing the different aspects of the last colony in Africa; the historical background of Morocco’s illegal occupation, unveiling systematic violations of human rights committed in the occupied territory, the wall of shame that divides the territory an its people and the illegal exploitations of the natural resources of Western Sahara.
The festivities were attended by thousands of the Danish public from different walks of life.
Abba Malainin, POLISARIO Representative in Denmark attended the ceremonies and gave more explanations to questions about Western Sahara raised by the visitors to the stand.(SPS)
