conference on right of Saharawi people to self-determination at the French parliament

Paris, April 03, 2012 (SPS) - A conference discussing the reasons behind the delay of the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination referendum takes place today at the French National Assembly, according to Saharawi diplomat.

 


Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Salem Ould Salek takes part at the Conference along with President of International Federation for Human Rights as well as jurists.

 

 

In declarations to the Algerian Radio, The Polisario Front representative to France , Mansur Omar underlined on Monday that the discussions will be focused on the arbitrary trails against the Saharawi human rights activists and the report of UN Secretary General on Western Sahara.

 


“The conference is a message to the international community to respect the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and it draws the attention on the EU involvement in the looting of Saharawi natural recourses” he said.
