Madrid, March 08, 2012 (SPS) -The Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo, on Wednesday defended a negotiated solution to the Western Sahara conflict that respects the right of Saharawi people to self-determination.
Speaking before the Foreign Relations Committee of the Senate (upper house of the Spanish Parliament), Mr. Margallo insisted that the position of the Spanish Government aims at finding a just and lasting solution to western Sahara conflict under UN framework, respecting the right of the Saharawi people to decide their future.
Spanish head of diplomacy stressed that this position also defended before the Algerian and Moroccan officials. (SPS)
