Shaheed Al Hafed (refugee camps), Jan 22, 2012 (SPS) - The Committee of Accountability and Oversight held Friday at the Presidency of the Republic a meeting on the ways to start and activate this body in the way that ensure integration and harmony between various oversight bodies and organs of the Frente Polisario.
Member of the National Secretariat and President of the Oversight and Accountability Committee, Mr. Khatri Addouh, said that oversight, evaluation and follow-up are “the most important themes have been examined by the Saharawi National Council or branches of the political organization or self-censorship at the level of government and the inspection at the level of the Ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs.”
The Committee called for reflecting slogan of the Polisario 13th Congress “independent Saharawi state is the solution”, pointing out to the need for achieving transparency, honesty, justice and efficiency in the management and conduct of public affairs, including the advancement of human and material resources.
It insisted in this regard that all these laws and principles enshrined in the Basic Law of the Frente Polisario and Constitution of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic, highlighting that it is important to underline a behavior record can be used to judge on the performance and functioning of the leaders, officials and all cadres at various levels.
Chairman of the Committee underlined that the field work of the Committee will begin in coincidence with the establishment of the Saharawi National Council and with the thirty-sixth anniversary of the proclamation of Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.
The Committee, which was formed during the first session of the National Secretariat after the end of the Polisario 13th Congress, includes five members: Mr. Brahim Mohamed Mahmud, members of the National Secretariat and secretary of state for documentation and security, Mr. Yuosef Ahmed Salem, director of the political commissionership of the People’s Liberation Army, Mr. Bashraya Bayun, Polisario representative to Spain, Mr. Khalil Sid Mhamed, member of the National Secretariat and chief of the Branches Secretariat.
