Tifariti (liberated territories), Dec 20, 2011 (SPS) - The Polisario 13th Congress Presidency has decided to extend works of the Congress for 48 hours, after its legal period (5 days) has been ended.

“As the Congress cames to the last day of its legal period, the presidency of the Congress, and in pursuant to the Article 63 of the Basic Law of the Polisario Front, decided to extend the Congress for 48 hours starting from midday at GMT liberated Tifariti,” Dr. Sidi Mohamed Omar, spokesman of the Congress presidency told SPS.

He indicated that the extension “was necessary in order to complete remaining works of the Congress, including the electoral process.”

It should be recalled that the delegates endorsed Tuesday morning the election committee's work, pending the ratification of the national action programme this evening. (SPS)
