Algeria’s position based on firm belief on legitimacy of Saharawi cause (Mr. Bougataia

Tifariti (liberated territories), Dec 19, 2011 (SPS) - Member of the Political Bureau of the Algerian National Liberation Front, Mr. Sadek Bougataya, affirmed Sunday that Algeria’s position “based on firm and solid belief on the legitimacy of the Saharawi people’s cause,” renewing the adherence of Algeria to support the Saharawi cause, in an intervention within the Polisario 13th Congress.

The Algerian official noted that through debate and deliberations of the Saharawi delegates “Saharawi people is determined to continue the struggle for liberation,” adding that discussions of the delegates “proved that they practice democracy and confirm their readiness to hold arms again.”

Mr. Bougataya praised the Saharawi People’s Liberation Army and women, who struggled alongside with men to defend the Saharawis right to freedom and independence.

He stressed “the Arab Maghreb cannot be built, unless the Saharawi people enjoy its freedom and sovereignty,” adding that the real problem behind the failure of building Maghreb Union “is the adhere of Moroccan regime to its expansionist policy.”

He therefore pointed that the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic is member of the African Union Organization, as well Polisario Front is significantly present on the international political circle. (SPS)
