Tifariti (liberated territories), Dec 16, 2011 (SPS) - The Accredited Ambassador of Venezuela to the Saharawi Republic, Mr. Michel Mujica, said that the Saharawi people “have shown strong ability to possess the elements to defend its freedom, sovereignty and human rights,” in his speech within Polisario 13th Congress.

Mr. Mujica noted that the participation of more than 2000 Saharawi delegates and 250 foreign participants at the Congress being held in the liberated territories of Western Sahara is an indication to the ability of Saharawi state and people.”

The Ambassador indicated that the 13th Congress will be “a platform to evaluate, discuss and exchange ideas for the attainment of independence,” considering that the participation in the 13th Congress is the “greatest evidence and example of the democracy that stems from the people, as well as it is a clear evidence of the ability of the Saharawi people to exercise their sovereignty.” (SPS)
