Shaheed Al Hafed (refugee camps), Dec 4, 2011 (SPS) - The Director of the National Foreigners’ Reception Center (Protocol), Mr. Habibuallah Mohamed Kouri, told Saturday SPS “more than a thousand foreign visitors from different parts of the world, especially from Spain, will visit the Saharawi refugee camps during the current month of December.”

The Director of Protocol considered that the increase of the visitors is “an expression of unlimited solidarity by those foreigners with the Saharawi people, who have suffered from the scourge of refugee and deprivation for more than three decades.”

“Friends of the Saharawi people become more convinced than ever to the need to visit the Saharawi refugee camps, in response to the allegations and propaganda promoted by the Moroccan media aiming to discredit on security of the Camps following the terrorist attack which led to the kidnapping of 3 European cooperators from Spain and Italy at the end of last October,” Mr. Habibullah confirmed to SPS.

On other hand, SPS met at the National Protocol Center some of the friends of the Saharawi people from Spain, who confirmed that they are determined to continue visiting the Saharawi refugee camps, and to not obey the call of the Spanish Foreign Ministry which warned them to visit the Camp at this time.

The Saharawi Minister of Cooperation, Mr. Salek Baba Hasan, reassured the Spanish Foreign that all security precautions and measures have been taken to ensure the protection and security of the foreigners, during their stay in the Saharawi refugee camps.

It should be recalled that 3 airplanes carrying families from Cataluña, Basque, Valencia and Castilla-La Mancha, in addition to delegations of Municipalities, organizations and associations supporting the Saharawi people have been landed Saturday night. (SPS)
