Saharawi Republic participates at the founding summit of CELAC

Caracas, Dec 4, 2011 (SPS) - The Ambassador of the Saharawi Republic in Venezuela, Mr. Mbeirik Ahmed, has attended the founding summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), hosted Friday and Saturday at the Culture Palace, at an official invitation received by the Saharawi government, according to a statement of the SADR Embassy in Caracas.

During the event which was attended by 33 heads of states and governments as well as foreign ministers, the Saharawi ambassador took the opportunity to hold several meetings with the various participating delegations.

Mr. Mbeirik Ahmed informed his interlocutors about the latest developments on the Saharawi question in line with the changes taking place in region and the world.

The first and summit aims to establish the group. The next summit has been decided to hold in 2012 in Chile. (SPS)
