Sahrawi Republic participates in Independence Day of Republic of Belize

  Managua (Nicaragua), September 21, 2011 (SPS) - The Ambassador to Nicaragua, Mr. Sulaiman Tayib Hannan, attended Tuesday the 30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Belize, as the personal envoy of President Mohammad Abdelaziz, according to a statement issued Wednesday by the Embassy in the capital of Nicaragua.

 

The envoy of the President of the Republic had bilateral meeting with the Foreign Minister of Belize, Mr. Wilfred Peter Elrington, and his aides, during which he handed to his interlocutor a letter and memorandum from the head of the Sahrawi diplomatic mission, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Salek.

 

On this occasion, the Foreign Minister of Belize reaffirmed his government's support for the just and legitimate aspirations of the Saharawi people for freedom and independence.

 

In the same context, the Sahrawi delegation handed a letter from President Mohamed Abdelaziz to the Prime Minister of Belize, Mr. Dean Barrow. (SPS)
