Saharawi cause is just, has regional and international roots, says official

Tindouf(Algeria) September 14,2011(SPS) -The Polisario Front representative to the UN, Ahmed Bukhari said the Saharawi cause is "just, has its regional and international roots", in discourse entitled "Peace Process and Negotiations"on the side lines of SADR cultural week in Tindouf, Algeria.

 

The Saharawi diplomat provided a detailed overview about the negotiations between the two parties of the conflict, the Polisario Front and Morocco, pointing out that the Polisario Front expressed readiness, in several times, to enter negotiations with Morocco on condition of respecting the Saharawi people right to self determination and independence.

Mr. Bukhari Ahmed held France responsible of obstructing the UN path, for its support to the Moroccan plan, calling on Morocco to obey the UN resolutions for decolonization in Western Sahara.

Saharawi people cause bothers the US government which raise the slogan of human rights and respecting peoples right to self determination while pays no attention to the Saharawi case, Mr.Bukhari said  in response to a question concerning the US position from Saharawi issue

Saharawi official asserted that the upcoming congress of the Polisario Front will be an opportunity to assess and identify defects.

The Secretary General of the Sahrawi women Union, Mrs. Fatma Elmehdi presented Mondaya discourse under the title "Sahrawi Women...Reality and Challenges"dealt with the longstanding struggle of the Saharawi women for freedom and independence.

The cultural week of SADR in Tindouf will continue its works until September 15.
