Polisario Front decides to hold 13th General People’s Congress in December in liberated territories

Shaheed El Hafed, September 8, 2011 (SPS) - The National Secretariat (NS) of the Polisario Front has decided to set the date for the 13th General People's Congress of the Polisario Front, bearing the name of the late president of the Saharawi National Council (Parliament), Mahfoudh Ali Beiba, in mid December 2011, in the liberated territories of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.

 

Meeting in a regular session for three days, the SN of the Polisario Front appointed a national committee for the preparation of the 13th Congress, to proceed in accordance with legislative requirements of the Polisario Front in the preparation of this event in the place and time specified in a statement released Thursday, a copy of it reached SPS.

 

The NS appealed to the Sahrawi in the occupied territories, southern Morocco, liberated territories, refugee camps, communities abroad and every where else for more unity to accelerate the recovery of the Saharawi people’s rights to freedom and independence throughout the whole national territory of the Saharawi Republic.

 

It also paid tribute to the countries, movements and organizations that continue to support the struggle of the Saharawi people, in particular the Republic of Algeria for its unwavering position in support of the struggle of the Saharawi people's right to self-determination and independence.
