Tripartite Algeria-South Africa-Nigeria: Intense preparations

Algiers, June 22, 2011 (SPS) - As part of the preparation of the tripartite meeting Algeria-South Africa-Nigeria of movement of solidarity with the Saharawi people, the Algeria-South Africa Coordination in solidarity with the Saharawi Republic (SADR) met Tuesday, in Algiers in the presence of the President of CNASPS, Ms. Makina Zanella, North Africa director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Africa and vice-president of the organization United Cities and Local Governments of Africa.

The parties discussed during this meeting, the latest developments in the situation concerning the Western Sahara issue to stop the strategy of implementation of the fundamental objectives of mobilization of the friendly governments of the RASD and the international movement of solidarity with the Sahrawi people.

The occasion also was undertaken to capture common actions between Algerians and South Africans for the revitalization and reinforcement of the UCLG and its promotion in the bilateral and multilateral relations. (SPS)
