Algiers, June 19, 2011 (SPS) - “The Saharawi cause is just and no one can deny that,” Director of North African Department at South African Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Makina Zanela, affirmed Saturday in Algiers.
In a statement to the press following an audience granted by the Mayor of Central Algiers and Vice-Chairman of the African Towns Union Ms. Tayeb Zitouni, she underlined that the Saharawi cause “is just has prompted Saharawi people to continue fight and struggle for freedom and independence."
The South Africa’s official and a delegation accompanying her made a visit to the Saharawi refugee camps this week, where she closely stopped at the situation of the Saharawi refugees.
During her visit, Ms. Zanela noticed “firm regulation” of the Saharawi leaders and great desire among the Saharawis to continue struggle for dignity, despite the refugee bad conditions. (SPS)
