"South Africa for the Saharawi people's right to freedom and independence" ( official)

Auserd (refugee camps) June 18, 2011 (SPS) - The Director of the North African desk in the South African Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Zanele Mbeki, reiterated Wednesday the support of her country to the just struggle of the Saharawi people for freedom and independence, in a statement during a visit to the wilaya of Auserd, Saharawi refugee camps.

“We are here to renew my country’s support to the legitimate and just struggle of the Saharawi people for freedom and independence,” Ms. Mbeki asserted, expressing commitment to stand beside the Saharawi people to achieve independence.

She emphasized the intention of South Africa to develop the bilateral relations between the two  countries, South Africa and Saharawi Republic, and their two brotherly people.

The South African Official and the delegation accompanying her met with a number of Saharawi officials: Governor of Auserd, Mr. Aliyen Habib Kentaoui, Speaker of the National Council, Mr. Khatri Addouh, Minister of Defense, Mohamed Lamine Bouhali, Minister of Information, Mr. Mohamed Tamek, Secretary of State for Youth and Sport, Mr. Mohamed Mouloud Mohamed Fadel, Secretary of State for Social Care and Woman’s Promotion, Mahfuda Mohamed Rahal.

She will also discused with the  Prime Minister and President of the Saharawi Red Crescent before received by the President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front ,Mohamed Abdelaziz . (SPS)
