Minister of Foreign Affairs felicitates his Guyanese counterpart on Independence Day

Bir Lehlou (Liberated Territories), May 25, 2011 (SPS) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, has felicitated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guyana, Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett, on the 45th anniversary of Independence the Republic of Guyana, in a letter received by SPS Wednesday.

“It gives me great pleasure to convey to you our greetings and felicitations on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of Independence the Republic of Guyana,” Ould Salek said in his letter.

“The Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and the Republic of Guyana enjoy an especially warm and friendly relationship and I am confident that the relations of friendship and cooperation between our countries will be further strengthened for the benefit of our peoples,” he added.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed, on this occasion, his good wishes for her personal health and wellbeing, as well as progress and prosperity for the friendly people of Guyana. (SPS)
