Kampala (Uganda) May 13, 2011 (SPS) - The President of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, concluded Friday a two-day visit to the Republic of Uganda where he participated in the inauguration ceremony of President, Mr. Yoweri Museveni, according to a source from the presidential delegation.
The participation was an opportunity to president to meet with various participating African presidents such as, President of Nigeria, Jonathan Goodluck, president of Tanzania, Jakaya Kikwete, Ethiopian Prime Minister, Meles Zenawi, and Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni in addition to the African commissioner, Jean Ping.
President of the Republic discussed with his counterparts the latest developments of the Western Sahara issue in the light of the resolution 1979 of the UN Security Council and the continuing intransigence of the Moroccan government with support by France and its violation of human rights of the Saharawis in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.
The President of the Republic, Mohamed Abdelaziz, was arrived Wednesday in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, to participate in the inauguration ceremony of President Yoweri Museveni, at an official invitation of the later.
The President, Mohamed Abdelaziz, is accompanied by delegation comprising Member of the National Secretariat and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, counselor to the Presidency , Abdati brika, , Saharawi Ambassador to Uganda ,Habib Bouchrais, and first Secretary of the Saharawi Embassy , Ala Haimad.(SPS)
