African Peace Conference discusses current security challenges facing continent

Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), November 26, 2024 (SPS) - The African Peace Conference continues in the Ethiopian capital, focusing on the current security challenges facing the continent that hinder development and the economy.

The Conference, organized by the Ethiopian Ministry of Peace, is attended by African ministers of interior and peace, including Minister of Interior Brahim Basheer Bella. It discusses perspectives that allow the continent to understand the current security challenges through various ongoing crises that have impeded its developmental, economic, and political progress, as well as ways to find solutions.

The conference also examines successful models from some countries in resolving conflicts and disputes while moving towards development and economic growth through political and social stability, with many countries presenting their contributions to this effort.
