Caracas, Venezuela, April 22, 2024 (SPS) - The Secretary-General of the National Union of Sahrawi Women (NUSW), Ms. Shaba Seiny, participated in the events of a global meeting on social alternatives organized by ALBA TCP, in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas.
Approximately 60 countries from various continents and more than 300 participating delegations attended the global meeting, where participants discussed issues related to peoples and society.
The meeting was opened with a speech by the Secretary-General of ALBA TCP, Mr. Jorge Rodriguez, in which he addressed the struggle and resistance of the Palestinian and Sahrawi peoples and the necessity of solidarity with them and support for their just causes.
The event concluded with a closing speech by the President of the Venezuelan Republic, Mr. Nicolas Maduro, in which he congratulated the participating delegations and countries, highlighting the importance of the topics discussed during the three-day meeting.
Ms. Shaba Seiny delivered a speech to the audience, expressing her gratitude and appreciation to the Venezuelan government for its support of the just struggle of the Sahrawi people, and thanking them for the invitation to participate in this global meeting.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the NUSW Secretary-General of held several meetings with participating delegations, leaders, and officials from the Venezuelan government, including a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and another with the African Group.
The Secretary-General also conducted interviews with Venezuelan television channels and other media.
