Shaheed El Hafed (Refugee Camps) (SPS) - The Sahrawi Red Crescent (MLRS), in collaboration with the Mundubat Foundation, organized a conference on the human right to adequate food in Sahrawi refugee camps, which took place at the meeting room of the Sahrawi National Commission for Human Rights (CONASADH) in Shaheed El Hafed.
During the conference, a report on the human right to adequate food in Sahrawi refugee camps was presented by the Enraíza Derechos, led by researcher Dr. José María Medina.
The event was attended by Sahrawi authorities, international agencies, and non-governmental organizations working in Sahrawi refugee camps.
The main objective of this conference is to provide an international perspective on the right to adequate food within the Sahrawi population and to shed light on this forgotten crisis, particularly its food aspect, aiming to improve the basic food basket for Sahrawi refugees.
Enraíza Derechos is a Spanish consultancy dedicated to global justice and the defense of people's rights against poverty and hunger worldwide. They were contracted by Mundubat.
It is worth noting that Mundubat is a Spanish non-governmental organization that collaborates in development cooperation projects, humanitarian aid, support for human rights, and raising awareness about North-South issues.
