La Paz (Bolivia), February 28, 2024 (SPS) - The President of Bolivia, Luis Arce, has sent his greetings to the authorities and the people of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) on their National Day and the 48th anniversary of its proclamation, according to the information provided by the Prensa Latina agency.

Fernando Pérez, Vice Minister of Consular and Institutional Management, delivered this message to the Ambassador of the SADR in Bolivia, Ahmed Salem Mohamed Ahmed, during an event held on Tuesday at the Simon Rodriguez Cultural Center of the Venezuelan Embassy, attended by ambassadors from Cuba, Iran, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Russia, and diplomatic officials from other Latin American countries, the source adds.

Pérez reiterated in his words Bolivia's friendly and cooperative relations with the people and authorities of the SADR, as well as the firm commitment of the Bolivian government to continue deepening cooperation and bilateral relations.

For his part, Ahmed Salem Mohamed Ahmed thanked his Venezuelan counterpart, César Trómpiz, and the entire team at the embassy for their support in organizing the commemorative event.

Expressing gratitude for President Arce's message, he recalled that this nation recognized the SADR on December 14, 1982, and since then, the two sister states have maintained diplomatic relations and continuous contacts.
