Moscow, February 28, 2024 (SPS) - A group of solidarity activists gathered in Moscow to commemorate the 48th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic. The event was held to express their full solidarity and support for the Sahrawi people's struggle and to denounce the repeated crimes of the Moroccan occupiers.

The event began at the headquarters of the Communist Party , Communists of Russia, with the playing of the Sahrawi and Russian national anthems. A Russian child then gave a speech, followed by a series of speakers who expressed their solidarity with the just struggle of the people of Western Sahara and their leading liberation movement , the Polisario Front.

n the opening of his speech, Dr. Ali Salem Mohammed Fadel, the representative of the Polisario Front in the Russian Federation, thanked the party and its leadership for hosting this solidarity event and their readiness to participate in raising awareness about the struggle of the Sahrawi people. He also highlighted the Moroccan occupiers' continued policy of evasion and defiance of international legitimacy, and the deplorable human rights situation in the occupied parts of Western Sahara.

Mr. Sergei Malenkovich, Chairman of the Central Committee of the party, reaffirmed his party's principled solidarity with the just struggle of the Sahrawi people under the leadership of their sole and legitimate representative, the Polisario Front, and their support for their struggle until they achieve full independence.
