Addis Ababa (African Union), February 19, 2024 (SPS) - The 37th Summit of the African Union has concluded, adopting reports, decisions, and declarations.
A high-level Sahrawi delegation participated in the Summit, led by the President of the Sahrawi Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, accompanied by Minister of Foreign, Affairs Mohamed Sidati, Ambassador of the Sahrawi Republic to South Africa in charge of Africa, Mohamed Yeslem Beissat, Permanent Representative to Ethiopia and the African Union, Lamine Abaali, Ambassador in charge of Protocol at the Presidency, Salha El Abed, Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic Abdelai Abrika, and members of the Permanent Mission in Addis Ababa.
On the other hand, the Summit was attended by Minister of Education, Vocational Training, Khatri Addouh, and Minister of Public Health, Salek Baba Hassana, who participated in side events respectively organized by the African Union Commission on Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, and the African Center for Disease Control.
It is worth noting that the 37th Summit was preceded by the participation of the Sahrawi ministerial delegation in the work of the 44th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council, which includes the Foreign Ministers of the 55 member states, in addition to the participation of the Sahrawi mission in Addis Ababa from 14 January to 13 February in the work of the 47th Ordinary Session of the Committee of Permanent Representatives.
