Nouakchott, 5 April 2020 (SPS) - The Mauritanian political party, Rally of Democratic Forces (RFD) has expressed condolences to the Sahrawi people and the family of the deceased leader, Emhamed Khaddad, who died on Wednesday after a long illness.
"We received with great sadness and sorrow the news of the passing of the great late Emhamed Khaddad Moussa," said the Mauritanian party in a message of condolence addressed to President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali.
“He had many good qualities and was one of the first founding pioneers who carried the cause of their people with merit, and fought with courage, sincerity and dedication to achieve the highest goals of self-determination.”
“The late Emhamed Khaddad worked continuously and earnestly to develop historical fraternal relations between the two brotherly Sahrawi and Mauritanian people,” it added. (SPS)
