Dakhla, (Sahrawi refugee camps), 13, 2016 (SPS) - the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the authorities of the wilaya of Dakhla kicked off on Tuesday evening the regional festival of culture and folkl Arts, with the presence of the President of the Republic of Republic and Secretary General of the Frente Polisario, Mr. Brahim Gali as well as members of the National Secretariat and the Saharwi government.
the regional festival of culture and folk arts coincides this years with the 13th edition of international film festival in Western Sahara known as Fi-Sahara.
On the sidelines of this said event, various exhibition documenting different aspects of the struggle of the Saharawi people opened as well as images showing the violations of human rights committed by the Moroccan occupying forces against Saharans in the occupied Territories.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture, Mr. Mustafa Mohammed Fadel highlighted the important role of culture in strengthening solidarity with the Saharawi people and their just cause, adding that the festival is the culmination of national day of Tent and culture.
