President arrives in Yokohama, Japan to participate in the 7th Ordinary Summit of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development

Yokohama (Japan), August 27, 2019 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Mr. Brahim Gali, arrived in Yokohama on Tuesday to participate in the 7th Ordinary Session of the African Union-Japan Partnership Summit, known as the Tokyo International Conference for African Development, which will be held in Yokohama from August 28 to 30, 2019, Under "Promoting the development of Africa through human resources, technology and innovation".
According to a statement by the African Union Commission, the summit will adopt the "Yokohama Declaration", "Procedures for the Implementation of the Yokohama Declaration 2019", as well as the report on the implementation of the TICAD V Yokohama Plan of Action (2013-2015) and the Tekad VI Nairobi Action Plan (2016-2019).
The AU, through the preparatory meetings of the decision-making bodies, seeks to provide the summit with an opportunity to incorporate the AU's strategic vision, aspirations and priority areas as set out in the African Union Agenda 2063 and the First Ten Implementation Plan.
President Gali is accompanied by an important delegation, which includes: Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdati Braika, Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic and Lamin Baali , the Sahrawi Ambassador to Ethiopia and the African Union. SPS
