ISACOM slams Moroccan arrest & intimidation campaigns against Sahrawi civilians in OOTT

Occupied Aaiun, Dec  15, 2021 (SPS) - The Saharawi Instance against the Moroccan Occupation (ISACOM) denounced the recent arrest and intimidation campaigns carried out by the Moroccan occupation authorities against Sahrawi civilians in the occupied areas of the Western Sahara, particularly after the soccer match between the Algerian and Moroccan teams played last Saturday in the Arab Soccer Cup organized in Qatar.
In a statement made public today, ISACOM highlights the information released by the Saharawi information medium "Nushatta Foundation", which reported that "the Moroccan police have launched their campaign of harassment and arrests against Sahrawi civilians in the occupied areas of the Western Sahara.before the football game with the arrest of the president of the “Nushatta Foundation”, Luali Lhammd, who was taken to an unknown place, blindfolded, where he was subjected to torture and threats of rape ”. Before Luali's arrest, police officers from the Moroccan occupation authorities tried to kidnap the Sahrawi journalist Salha Butenguiza, a correspondent for the Saharawi National Television, who was miraculously able to prevent the kidnapping.SPS
