Shahid El-Hafed, May 6, 2016 (SPS) - The Permanent Bureau of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front has called on the United Nations Security Council to set out a date for the referendum of self-determination of the Sahrawi people, which is the main mission of MINURSO.
The bureau during its meeting Thursday, chaired by Prime Minister Abdelkader Taleb Omar, with the authorization of the President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, noted the last resolution of the UN Security Council on Western Sahara, in which it confirmed the nature and mission of MINURSO and the right of the Sahrawi people for self-determination.
The bureau demanded taking practical actions to prevent the Moroccan state from pursuing hampering the efforts of the international community aiming at decolonizing the last colony in Africa, Western Sahara
The meeting of the Permanent Bureau of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front addressed the developments related to the Sahrawi issue and the situation on various levels, it should be recalled. (SPS)
