Entebbe (Uganda), 19 December 2022 (SPS) - Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Personal Envoy of President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, has been received today, Monday, by President of the Republic of Uganda, Mr. Yoweri Museveni, at the Presidential Palace in Entebbe, southwest of the Ugandan capital city, Kampala.
The meeting was attended, besides the Minister of Foreign Affairs, by Mr. Mohamed Ali Daf, Chargé d'Affairs at the Sahrawi Embassy in Kampala, as well as the Director of African Affairs at the Ugandan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The two countries share strong historical ties based on mutual solidarity and defending vital African interests and the principles and objectives of the African Union against attempts to sow division and obstruct the continental organization in its quest to implement its Agenda 2063.
