WAELE strongly expresses its concern over the last unjust sentencing of Saharawi political prisoners of Gdiem Izik

 Abuja, Nigeria, July 26th, 2017 (SPS) - Women Advancement for Economic & Leadership Empowerment in Africa (WAELE/ARCELFA) has strongly expressed its concern over the last unjust sentencing of Saharawi 23 political prisoners who are journalist and human right activists from Gdiem Izik by Court of Appeal in Sale, The Kingdom of Morocco on the 19th of July 2017 in letter to his Excellency, Mr. Antonio Guterres ,United Nation General Secretary.
WAELE has indicated in its letter that Morocco police obtained confession and statements by using inhuman treatments and torture during interrogation of the 23 political prisoners according to Christian Action for the Abolition of Torture (CAAT), International Amnesty (IA), Robert F. Kennedy Center (RFK) and Human Right Watch (HRW)
The said African organization has called UNSG Antonio Guterres to intercede with Morocco Government on behalf of the 23 Saharawi political prisoners who have been leaving under Morocco inhuman occupation since 1975.
