Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister reaffirms Cuba's strong position in support of Saharawi issue

Shaheed El-Hafed (Refugee Camps), May 7, 2017 (SPS) - The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Marcelino Medina González, reaffirmed Sunday the strong position of his country in support of the struggle of the Saharawi people and their right to self-determination and independence.
Mr. González told the national media after meeting with the Saharawi Foreign Minister, Mohamed-Salem Ould-Salek that his presence in the SADR representing the Cuban government is a confirmation of the strong bilateral relations between the two countries.
He said that his meeting with Saharawi Minister of Foreign Affairs addressed means of consolidating these relations as well as the prospects of boosting the work of joint collaboration.
Cuban First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Marcelino Medina Gonzalez started today, Sunday, two-day official visit to the Sahrawi Republic, where he meets with the Saharawi authorities, including the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali. (SPS)
