Bir Lehlou (Liberated Territories), July 20, 2011(SPS) - The President of the Republic and secretary general of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, addressed a message of condolence to Mrs Kay Eagleton family following the death of her husband, William Eagleton, who served as personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Western Sahara from 1999 to 2003.
Following is the full text of the letter as received by SPS Wednesday.
"Madam, Kay Eagleton
The death of Mr. Eagleton was a sad and a great loss for all of us who had the opportunity to know him directly when he was serving a Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Western Sahara.
We always remember his dedication, work capacity, reliability and commitment to peace.
On the occasion of this painful loss, allow me on behalf of the Polisario Front, the people of Western Sahara and on my own behalf, to share with you and all Eagletonfamily members, our deepest condolences.
I would like to express to you all my affectionin this terrible ordeal.
