Madrid, August 20, 2011 (SPS) - “My support will be allocated to defeat the Moroccan invader in Western Sahara,” the Spanish actor, Willy Toledo, has confirmed in a debate under the motto “Western Sahara, people in struggle” on the sidelines of the eighth Music Festival held in Benicàssim’s Spanish city, the Spanish Press Agency (EFE) reported Thursday.
“I am ready, as a Spanish citizen, to support any initiative with the Saharawi people,” said Mr. Toledo, adding “if the latter decides to hold arms, my support will be allocated to get all needed to defeat the Moroccan invader.”
Friend of the Saharawi people criticized the Spanish governments that came to power since the collapse of Frenkoah’s dictatorship, especially the socialist governments, because it abandoned the Saharawi people.
“Spain is complicit in the crimes carried out by the Moroccan government against the Saharawi people,” said the Spanish actor.
He explained that the Saharawi people gave their trust over the years in the possibility of a political solution and holding the referendum, but they felt “they were deceived.”
Mr. Toledo noted that there is a part of the Saharawi youth call for holding arms again, because they do not trust the UN or international community and they refuse to suffer the heinous practices. (SPS)
