Rabat, November 2, 2011 (SPS) - The President of the Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH), Khadija Ryadi,  expressed Tuesday "solidarity with the Saharawi political prisoners on hunger strike in the prison of Salé and their families.

Ms. Ryadi, who was speaking at a press conference hosted by the families of Saharawi political prisoners at the headquarters of the AMDH, asserted that "her organization is closely following this file like all issues relating to violations of human rights, criticizing the appearance of Saharawi political prisoners before a martial court."

"The fact that they are subjected to a military court is a violation of the standards of a fair trial. Since they are civilians, they cannot appear before a military court. "

In a report established in December, 2010 on the dismantling of the camps of Gdeim Izik, the  AMDH raised cases of violations of human rights contrary to international conventions and standards of human rights, it should be recalled. (SPS)
