Saharawi students in Rabat protest the conduct of Moroccan election in occupied Western Sahara

Rabat, Nov 21, 2011 (SPS) - The Saharawi students in Rabat denounced Monday the elections which Moroccan government plans to extend it to the Saharawi occupied territories, renewing their adherence to the Polisario Front a sole representative of the Saharawi people, informed a source in the Ministry of the Occupied Territories and Communities Abroad.

The students said that the Saharawi people are not concerned with the Moroccan elections and they are against everything that contributes to the perpetuation of the occupation and sale of the martyrs’ blood by participating in this electoral charade imposed on the population of the occupied Western Sahara.

In relevant context, they denounced the flagrant violation of human rights committed against the Saharawi prisoners on hunger strike in Sale jail, holding Morocco the full responsibility for the their deteriorated situation.

The Saharawi students expressed solidarity with the Saharawi sit-inners students at Casablanca University and with the martyr Said Dambar’s family.

They finally called on the international community as well as human rights organizations and defenders to support the Saharawi people to recover their legitimate rights. (SPS)
