Tifariti (liberated territories), Dec 15, 2011 (SPS) - “East Timor is committed to continue supporting the just right of the Saharawi people to freedom and independence” asserted former prime minister and MP of East Timor, Mr. Da Silva during his intervention before 13th congress of the Polisario Front held from Dec 15 to 19 in liberated territory of Tifarity
Mr.Da Silva renewed his country firm position for struggle of western sahara people, pointing out Parliament of East Timor adopted a motion emphasized the right of the Saharawi people to self determination and independence and called on the government to continue supporting the Saharawi cause before international circles.
The MP expressed gratitude for being taking part at the 13th congress of the Polisario Front, underlining the event will contribute to promote the long standing struggle of the Saharawi people.
Mr.Da Silva cited that President Jose Horta remains active to defend the Saharawi cause.
He expressed confidence that the congress will bring prominent decisions in favour of the Saharawis.
