Algiers, March15, 2012(SPS) the Minister of Foreign affairs of Italy ,Giulio Terzi Di Sant’agata, Thursday, confirmed that Italy supports a solution to Saharawi conflict will provide to the Saharawi people’s right to self-determination in accordance with resolutions of the United Nations.
“ Italy kept a balanced attitude by emphasizing on every occasion that the direct dialogue alone between Morocco and Polisario in framework of the United Nations can led to a fair and lasting solution to the conflict of western Sahara that guarantees the Saharawi people’s right to self-determination in accordance with appropriate arrangements and recommendations of the Security Council and the Assembly General of UN” he said in an interview with the Algerian newspaper, Alkhabar , published today .
He indicated that Italy also contributes in humanitarian assistances through UNHCR and supporting the program of visits between Saharawi families from refugee camps and Western Sahara.(SPS)
