Sahrawi human rights activists visits Denmark to unveil Morocco’s repression in Western Sahara

Copenhagen, May 9, 2012 (SPS)- The Saharawi Human Rights activist, Sultana Khaya has visited Denmark on May 6th to 9th to raise awareness about the grave human rights abuses perpetrated by the Moroccan authorities of occupation against the Saharawi population in the occupied territories.

 

Sultana Khaya was received at the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Department of Middle East and North Africa as well as by the Human Rights Department, according to statement of  the Polisario Front representation to Denmark.

 

The Saharawi activist also met with Members of Parliament and representatives of Political Parties and various Danish Organizations and Amnesty International – Denmark Branch, the source said.

 

it is worth noting that Saltana Khaya has been arrested many times by Moroccan security forces and subjected to torture. (SPS)
