Egypt, May 18, 2012 (SPS) - The candidates for the Egyptian presidential elections, Mr. Abdel Moneim Aboul Fotouh, has recognized the republic of Western Sahara where he included Western Sahara map with the flag of Saharawi Republic, in a video published in a website where he explain his electoral program.
The video outlined the big headlines of Egypt foreign policy if Aboul Fotouh became president.
The move is a new gesture towards the plight of Western Sahara and put an end to the decades of dictatorial regimes which took into consideration narrow interests, in turn they turn a blind eye to issues that have political and humanitarian dimensions have been suffered by the Saharawi people over the past four decades because of the media and military blockade imposed by Morocco over the territory of Western Sahara.
