Bir Lehlu(liberated territories) , Spt 12, 2012 (SPS)-Minister of foreign Affairs, Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, put emphasis on the key role that the United States can pay in resolving the conflict of Western Sahara in line with the dictates of international legality and UN resolutions.
In letter sent to today to Secretary of State of the United States of America, Madame Hillary Rodham Clinton, Ould Salek recalled the global responsibility of and the leadership of the United States.
“ it is the supreme interest of enduring the peace and stability of North Africa that a speedy, peaceful, democratic and lasting solution to the decolonization conflict in Western Sahara is reached without delay so that the peoples of the whole region could embark on their path towards the achievement of more integration and development” , the Minister underscored further.
the Saharawi foreign Minister informed the American Secretary of State of the latest developments of the question of Western Sahara , particularly the situation of the UN-led direct negotiations between the twp parties f the conflict the Polisario Front and the Kingdom of Morocco .
Taking the occasion of the marking today of the 11th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on US, the Saharawi Foreign Minister expressed to the US Secretary of State, on behalf of the Saharawi Government and people, deep sympathies with the families of the victims. (SPS)
