Boujdour (refugee camps), Sept 29, 2012 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, received Friday the delegation of African Commission on Human and People’s Rights (ACHPR), at the end of an exploratory visit to the Saharawi refugee camps.
The meeting was also attended by members of the POLISARIO National Secretariat and Saharawi government.
At the end of the visit, Chairperson of the African Organization Chairperson Catherine Dupe Atoki confirmed a commitment to “convey the scourge of refuge to the African leaders.
The delegation staged Thursday in front of the 2700-km Moroccan Wall of Shame that separates families and territory of Western Sahara, and contaminated by millions anti-personal land mines.
In the same day, they visited the National Resistance Museum, where they heard detailed explanations about the important stages in the history of Saharawi people. (SPS)
