Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), Oct 6, 2012 (SPS) - The preparatory conferences for the seventh congress of the Saharawi Workers Union (UGTSARIO) will kick off Monday in all wilayas and national institutions.
In a press conference held Saturday, the UGTSARIO Secretary General Mr. Mohamed Lehbib Mohamed Cheikh said that the conferences will conclude the preparation phase, pointing to the circumstances in which the Congress is held.
Mr. Cheick noted that this edition will be marked by remarkable participation from the occupied Saharawi territories, as well as foreign delegation from Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
The seventh congress of UGTSARIO, which bears the name of the Saharawi Martyr Said Sid Ahmed Dambar, will be held from 21 to 23 October, 2012 in the Wilaya of Boujdour, Saharawi refugee camps, under the theme “resistance, steadfastness and development.”
The congress will be attended by representatives from the various national sectors, in addition to members of local offices, executive bureau, national council, preparatory committee and former secretaries general of the Union. (SPS)
