Bir Lahlou (liberated territories), Oct 8, 2012 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, sent Monday a letter of congratulation to His Excellency Hugo Chávez, on his re-election as a president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The President Mohamed Abdelaziz expressed, in his letter to the Venezuelan president elect, “congratulations and best wishes” for this resounding victory, adding it is a “glorious event for all the peoples struggling for self-determination, independence and progress.”
With his re-election as head of the Bolivarian nation, the people of Venezuela have confirmed their full support and firm commitment to the revolution, stated the Saharawi President.
President Mohamed Abdelaziz therefore reaffirmed to his counterpart the will of SADR government to “further strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation that bind our nations.”
Hugo Chávez had secured 54.4% of the votes, while his rival Capriles was behind with 44.9%, announced Sunday the National Electoral Council of Venezuela. (SPS)
