El Aaiun (refugee camps), Jan 20, 2012 (SPS) - Masses of the Wilaya of El Aaiun organized Saturday a platform of solidarity with families of the Saharawi political prisoners of Gdeim Izik to denounce the Moroccan authorities intention to send the group to a military court on February 1st.
The masses of El Aaiun denounced the decision of the Moroccan authorities to bring Sahrawi human rights advocators and activists before a military trial, expressing full solidarity with Gdeim izik prisoners, their families and all the Saharawi masses in the occupied territories.
They, therefore, called on the United Nations and human rights organizations in the world to immediately intervene to protect the Saharawi rights activists, who are subject to gross violations carried out by Moroccan state.
This platform is a response to a call by families of group. It will be followed by other meetings of solidarity at the all wilayas. (SPS)
