UPES signs cultural cooperation agreement with Chourouk’s Algerian Association

Batna (Algeria), May 13, 2013 (SPS) - Saharawi Journalists and Writers’ Union (UPES) signed Saturday at headquarters of the Municipality of Batna an agreement on cultural cooperation with the Algerian Association of Chourouk
The agreement aims at strengthening the bonds of cultural cooperation and relations between both parties
It, therefore, seeks to raise awareness about the just cause of Saharawi people
The agreement provides for the exchange of experiences and visits as well as publishing writing works between the two sides, and forming an ad-hoc committee to choose qualified works every year.
The agreement was signed from the Saharawi side by Mr. Hamma Al-Mehdi, Member of UPES Executive Bureau, and Mr. Tarek Thabet, Batna province’s Secretary-General of the Algerian Writers Union and President of Chourouk Association, from the Algerian side.
The event, which took place on the sidelines of the commemoration of POLISARIO 40th Anniversary in the Algerian city, attended by both the governor of Batna and the Saharawi Wilaya of Smara. (SPS)
